Encouraging member engagement with MBIE: Fuel Response Priority Bands
We are urging MBIE to include the natural health products sector in
Priority Band B: economically important services.
The Fuel Response Plan 2026 outlines 4 phases that respond proportionately to the risks to New Zealand’s fuel security.
At each phase is a set of measures that would be taken in response to escalating risks to New Zealand’s fuel security.
Phases 3 and 4 are under consultation to determine how they will be implemented and what measures would be taken.
There will be priority bands to determine how the allocation of fuel would be managed.
MBIE are seeking feedback on these Priority Bands and how businesses fit within them.
Natural Health Products NZ has made a submission on behalf of industry.
