IPPC focuses on the protection and commercialization of intellectual property related to biological and chemical products, in particular products regulated in New Zealand as agricultural compounds, dietary supplements, food, medicines, new organisms or hazardous substances. I act as an ‘in-house’ Patent Attorney on a part time basis for a small group of start-ups and SMEs. Assisting my clients to develop IP portfolios aligned to their commercial objectives I both prepare and prosecute applications for protection and advise on the risk of infringement and the requirements for marketing approval of their products. I act exclusively in this role and do not act as a local agent for overseas attorneys or multinationals.
